Optimal performance through cable certification
With our cable certifier, we can analyze the performance of your network links according to the ANSI/TIA568 standard using a Bit Error Rate (BER) Test. This type of test aims to measure the integrity of the digital signal based on the quantity or percentage of incorrectly transmitted and received bits. The more incorrect bits there are, the greater the impact on the signal quality. The bit error rate is an effective indicator of your network’s performance as it encompasses both the receiver and transmitter, as well as the media connecting them.
The test provides the following information: length, nanosecond delay between pairs (Skew), and the Signal To Noise Ratio (SNR), which measures a cable’s immunity to noise. In addition to offering valuable insights, the test can identify problematic cables and pinpoint where the issue lies in the cable. All cables can be labeled according to established nomenclature. Following the tests, our team will provide you with a PDF document containing all the tests performed for future reference.
